Avenue Q
Director/Choreographer at Paul Bunyan Playhouse
This Tony Award winning musical with a score by
Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty, is no easy feat. With hundreds of light and sound cues, a dozen puppets, and only nine days of rehearsal, director/choreographer Nat Harper knew she was in for a challenge. Avenue Q required laser precision to execute while also needing flexibility to maintain the comical tone of the show. The rated R puppet show ended up being a smash hit for Paul Bunyan Playhouse with reviews saying “I laughed throughout the entire show”.

Church Basement Ladies
Director/Choreographer at Paul Bunyan Playhouse
This hilarious and heartfelt production directed and choreographed by Nat Harper played to sold out audiences at Paul Bunyan Playhouse. Harper masterfully navigated comedic beats laid out in the score by Drew Jansen and book by Jim Stowell and Jessica Zuehlke. The show was met with riotous laughter every performance, and Harper balanced the hilarity with sincerity by focusing on the three generations of church basement ladies at the center of the story. This production highlighted themes of sisterhood and the importance of intergenerational relationships.
